Blankets for Canada is a not-for-profit society with no paid employees, run 100% by volunteers.
We rely on cash, goods and services and depend on the generosity of people just like you.
We need help with all our tasks, so even if you cannot make a blanket, we need volunteers who can organize and take inventory of supplies and finished blankets; transport blankets to receiving agencies; collect donations of yarn, fabric, etc., as well as many other tasks.
Blankets for Canada receives no government funding. We are grateful to manufacturers and small businesses in the areas where we have Groups. They, along with the many individuals who have donated their time and expertise, are valuable assets to our cause.
We encourage Membership to the Blankets for Canada Society - Charity Number 877170225RR0001.
Membership is $20.00 for the year.
A Membership entitles you to:
- a tax receipt for the $20 membership fee,
- a membership card,
- 8 business cards to use in the name of Blankets for Canada,
- the right to vote in the Annual General Meeting, and
- submit, for tax deductions, your receipts for yarn/fabric purchased and used to make blankets in the name of Blankets for Canada.
For Donations - a tax receipt will be issued for donations of $10 or more and will be much appreciated.
We offer two methods of Membership and Donations fee payment:
Method 1 allows you to fill in an online Membership and Donations form and pay with 
using our online form Our Memberships & Donations eTransfer
Method 2 is manually filling in a paper Membership and Donations form and then mailing the form plus a cheque for $20 (membership fee) plus any amount you wish to donate to Blankets for Canada Society.
